Monsterous Project

.'Monsterous Project' is an educational-artistic initiative founded in Israel by Ori Shor and Avital Ben Dror, in which children imagine and draw monsters, and professional illustrators create their own visual interpretations. The children experienced character development, storytelling, and initial concept design, creating an illustration and text describing their monster. The project takes place in different schools every year. This year, I participated in the project held in a special education class at the "Lev HaMoshava" school in Ness Ziona, and I had the privilege of guiding Hili, a talented girl who created an original monster. Based on the description and drawing sent to me, I created my interpretation of "Daniella" - an Australian monster with interesting eating habits. The project concluded with a festive exhibition held at the "Lev HaMoshava" school on June 12, 2026, where the children met the illustrators, saw the artworks, and took part together in an exciting exhibition.
